چکیده

Control systems design by the principle of matching gives rise to problems of evaluating the peak output. This paper proposes a practical method for computing the peak output of linear time-invariant and non-anticipative systems for a class of possible sets that are characterized with mixed bounding conditions on the twoand/or the infinity-norms of the inputs and their derivatives. The original infinite-dimensional convex optimization problem is approximated as a large-scale convex programme defined in a Euclidean space, which are associated with sparse matrices and thus can be solved efficiently in practice. The numerical results show that the method performs satisfactorily, and that using a possible set with many bounding conditions can help to reduce the design conservatism and thus yields a better match.

Solving a non-convex non-linear optimization problem constrained by fuzzy relational equations and Sugeno-Weber family of t-norms

Sugeno-Weber family of t-norms and t-conorms is one of the most applied one in various fuzzy modelling problems. This family of t-norms and t-conorms was suggested by Weber for modeling intersection and union of fuzzy sets. Also, the t-conorms were suggested as addition rules by Sugeno for so-called  $lambda$–fuzzy measures. In this paper, we study a nonlinear optimization problem where the fea...

On the optimization of Dombi non-linear programming

Dombi family of t-norms includes a parametric family of continuous strict t-norms, whose members are increasing functions of the parameter. This family of t-norms covers the whole spectrum of t-norms when the parameter is changed from zero to infinity. In this paper, we study a nonlinear optimization problem in which the constraints are defined as fuzzy relational equations (FRE) with the Dombi...

Robust L2-L∞ Control of Uncertain Differential Linear Repetitive Processes

For two-dimensional (2-D) systems, information propagates in two independent directions. 2-D systems are known to have both system-theoretic and applications interest, and the so-called linear repetitive processes (LRPs) are a distinct class of 2-D discrete linear systems. This paper is concerned with the problem of L2-L∞ (energy to peak) control for uncertain differential LRPs, where the param...

Computation of Output Losses due to Congestion in Data Envelopment Analysis

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is an approach for evaluating performances of Decision Making Units (DMUs). The performances of DMUs are affected by the amount of sources that DMUs used. Usually increases in inputs cause increases in outputs. However, there are situations where increases in one or more inputs generate a reduction in one or more outputs. In such situations there is congesti...

Measuring robust overall profit efficiency with uncertainty in input and output price vectors

The classic overall profit needs precise information of inputs, outputs, inputs and outputs price vectors. In real word, all data are not certain. Therefore, in this case, stochastic and fuzzy methods use for measuring overall profit efficiency. These methods require more information about the data such as probability distribution function or data membership function, which in some cases may no...
